The House

The House

Bom Caminha is an old house from 1882,
and old houses have personalities.

There is a shared kitchen, a garden, a roof terrace, an outdoor shower, a footbath with Epsom salt...

There are all sorts of opportunities to meet fellow pilgrims and share stories,
while various wet socks are hung up to dry after a long day on the road.

We believe that a good albergue doesn't have to be perfect. A comfortable bed is important. Hot water is important. Coffee is nice. Kindness matters most and the intention of looking out for each other - and if it's only a little bit, considering all blisters, snorers,  mosquitoes...
you name it.

This is a place to rest, recover, laugh, exchange stories and prepare for the next stage of the journey.

Welcome aboard.

Captain's Note

Pilgrims come in all shapes and sizes.
Snoring, on the other hand, seems to be universal —

loud, quiet, rhythmic or rather in disharmonic.
